Margaret Manolis is a dedicated kidney advocate, community leader, and mother of two from Franklin Square, New York. Her passion for raising awareness about kidney disease and living kidney donation comes from her family’s personal journey. Her son, Elias, was born with chronic kidney disease and spent years facing medical challenges before receiving a lifesaving living donor kidney transplant in March 2026.
Throughout Elias’s journey, Margaret became a powerful voice for kidney patients and their families. She used social media, community outreach, media appearances, and advocacy efforts to share Elias’s story, educate the public about living kidney donation, and help connect others in need with potential donors. Her commitment to supporting families navigating kidney disease has inspired many across the country.
As National Spokesperson for Kidneys for Kids, Margaret is dedicated to increasing awareness of pediatric kidney disease, promoting living kidney donation, supporting transplant families, and helping children receive the second chance at life they deserve. She believes that every patient deserves hope, every family deserves support, and every donor has the power to change a life forever.
Margaret lives on Long Island with her husband, Nick, and their two sons, Elias and Kosta. She is honored to represent Kidneys for Kids and looks forward to helping more families find hope through advocacy, education, and the gift of living donation.
