Jayden’s story began the day she was born. She entered this world in end-stage (Stage 5) kidney failure with only one small, underdeveloped kidney. By 8 months old, she was on dialysis as a baby. At just 3 years old, she received her first kidney transplant.

At 5, while living life as a transplant recipient, Jayden developed post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD), a form of cancer that affected her brain. She endured intensive treatment with a strength far beyond her years and overcame yet another unimaginable obstacle.

Now at 13, her transplanted kidney is in rejection and has failed. She has undergone multiple surgeries and is currently on peritoneal dialysis while waiting for another kidney transplant. Dialysis is sustaining her as we wait and hope for a second chance.

Beyond the diagnoses and hospital stays, Jayden is a bright, loving, faith-filled teenager. She loves music, her dog, giving gifts, spending time with family, and she carries a heart that shines even through the hardest days. She has truly spent her entire life fighting — and inspiring everyone around her in the process.
