We found out at my 20 week anatomy scan that our baby had something wrong with his kidneys. We had very little amniotic fluid. From that moment on it was a race to find out what the options were to help my baby. We ended up at Cincinnati children’s where we were until he was born at 32 weeks. He was born at 3lbs 7oz and was too small to receive dialysis in Cincinnati. Arlo flew to Chicago with his dad at 3 days old. They placed his first dialysis catheter. He has been on dialysis ever since. He is now big enough for a life changing kidney transplant.
